What is Ultherapy®?

Ultherapy is a noninvasive anti-aging tool that lifts and tightens the skin on your neck, chin, and brow. It also smooths out the lines and wrinkles on your décolletage (low neckline). 

The innovative noninvasive tool uses ultrasound technology to tighten your skin and stimulate the production of collagen without the need for surgery or downtime.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound technology to gently heat the deep layers of your skin, which stimulates the production of collagen. 

Your youthful look is dependent on collagen to keep your skin firm and toned. As you get older, collagen production decreases, resulting in the loss of strength and elasticity that leads to sagging, lines, and wrinkles.

What can I expect during Ultherapy treatment?

Your Ultherapy treatment is customized to address your specific needs and goals, and the specifics of your treatment may differ from others. In general, your provider at New Life Wellness and Medical Spa first cleanses your skin and then applies the ultrasound gel followed by the ultrasound wand.

During your Ultherapy treatment, you may feel the ultrasound energy as it targets the deep layers of your skin. Comfort levels vary from person to person, but you only feel the sensation when the ultrasound energy is being delivered.

The length of your treatment may depend on the areas undergoing skin tightening, but it takes 90 minutes or less. You may notice some redness or swelling at the site of treatment, but these side effects disappear quickly, and you can resume your usual day after your session.

In most cases, only one Ultherapy session is needed to get the skin tightening, collagen-stimulating, anti-aging benefits. 

How long does it take to see results from Ultherapy? 

You should notice an improvement in your look within 2-3 months of your Ultherapy treatment as your new collagen lifts and smooths out your skin. Maximum results appear about six months after your session and last a year or longer.
